Covid-19 Health and Safety Measures
During the current Covid-19 outbreak, we are taking these extra steps to help ensure the safety of our visitors and guides. These are in accordance with the latest guidelines from the Scottish Government. (July 2022). All Covid rules and restrictions have been lifted in Scotland, but the virus has not gone away. COVID-19, colds and flu can spread more easily in the winter.
- You should not join a tour if you or any member of your household has Covid-19 symptoms, or are self-isolating or in quarantine.
- We will adjust the route of our tours to avoid narrow passages, crowded places and other tour groups.
- The use of masks is optional. (Face coverings are still suggested in indoor public places and on public transport in Scotland, but not out of doors.)
- If you develop Covid-19 symptoms after your tour, and if you subsequently have a positive result from a Covid-19 test, NHS Scotland might ask you for your recent contacts. In that case, you should tell them that you have been on a tour with the Edinburgh Festival Voluntary Guides Association, and give them the date and time of your tour.
